This skin was created by Isaac Zimmitti Schlueter and was upgraded for b2evolution 0.9.0.x by Graham Gilbert. If you would like to use this skin for your b2evolution-powered site, feel free to download the zip file.
The zip file contains several php files, and an img directory. You're going to put the whole thing in your "skins" directory on your website. But first, open up _vars.php in a text editor, and read through that file. It allows you to set up all the skin features. (You can override any of these settings for a particular blog by setting the variable in the stub file.)
Some of the features in this skin:
- Fully standards-compliant, and looks great in IE 6 and Mozilla.
- You choose which sideitems to display, and which to hide, and the order in which they appear.
- Includes a sideitem for a PayPal button. (If you want to show how much you love the skin, you should go to my site and click on mine.

- Sideitem for "Recent Posts." (A rarity among b2evo skins that is popular in other blogger apps.) This is highly customizable. The number of comments is displayed on the main page and the single posts page (not on the last comments, stats or profile - this is due to an unresolved bug).
- "Tools" section that allows quick additions and modifications to the site. Also, each post has an "edit" and "delete" link that only is shown when you are logged in.
- If you don't want to display comments on your page, you can hide them, and only view comments when you log in, while still allowing people to post comments. This is great for a "Contact Me" page, if you want to keep comments hidden.
- AIM and Yahoo! Messenger links on each post
- The Bloglist menu buttons adjust in width depending on how many blogs you have, so that it'll always fit to the width of the main content area.
- Less than 40k of images to download.
- Almost all of the text is fluid. No need to worry about viewers setting their text size to largest.
Note: The next and pref links on each page will look a little funky if you don't applye a little hack to allow you to prevent b2evo from running the next and prev links through thehtmlspecialcharsfunction. Contact me if you need to find out how to get this hack, if it hasn't been implemented in b2evo yet. You could of course just go into the_main.phpfile and change the « and » into << and >>.
The condition of using this skin:
You must leave my signature in place, including the section in the footer that says:$DontTouchThisPart = ...
Any other signatures, copyrights, or other marks of my handiwork must remain in place. You can modify the code however you like, but if you use a feature that I created, then I would like you to properly give me credit for it. You may distribute the skin to anyone you like, as long as you pass along this condition.
Of course, if you take what I've done here, and modify it into a new and significantly different creation, then you don't have to provide me with credit. That's fair use, and it's perfectly fine.
Granted, I'm not going to be able to stop anyone from removing my signature or the link back to my site. But why would you want to be an asshat? No one wants to be that guy. If you let me know that you are using it, I'll make sure to link to you on my site, too.
